“ THE CHAIR DAY
The time or rather the date when things started is of less or no importance ; but i still recall those inquisitive eyes awaiting the unknown. I objected to teaching in the castle number 18, and some of them got bewildered to find the room- my room- ! A certain sentinel showed them in and we started.
In a short while , i knew them all, and i discovered how willing to learn they are ! they come from everywhere , but the chairs on which each one sat were the same. We indulged into unprepared talks and we agreed despite all disagreements !! the professor in me imposed himself many times despite the love of some and the boredom of others. I gave lessons and I never cared how much they were appreciated !
Innocently or naturally – i still don’t know how- we started giving short talks. A variety of topics were discussed and applauded ; yet, the one that gained much applause was ‘ love ‘, and we called the man « Mr. Love » ! one day the lady held the chair in defiance !! i promised to pay 1000, but she failed despite all her endeavour ! the love she holds inside defeated her weak muscles- and she was unconscious that LOVE is the strength the whole world fails to see !
She insisted on holding the chair- the same way another one defied shakespeare insisting on the frailty of men ! frail or so we all are, she forgot- i then HAD A BEE IN THE BONNET !!
WHY THE HELL DID NOT THE GIRL STOOD ON THE CHAIR INSTEAD OF HOLDING IT ?
We never went to castle 18 and we were big. We never agreed and we learnt. We never held chairs ;we sat on them and felt great. WE LOVE EACH OTHER AND THAT IS WHY WE WERE THERE ON EVERY CHAIR DAY !! see you all next semester !
